Stockdale of Yorkshire, ART on a plate

Meat lovers of Leeds assemble.

Things are about to get a whole lot juicier as Stockdales of Yorkshire opens on South Parade to showcase a superior steak-centric menu that’s guaranteed to redefine quality as you know it.

Seating 100 discerning diners as well as a sociable bar area, Stockdales of Yorkshire is set to be at the forefront of the South Parade/Greek Street revival.

There will be a private dining area seating up to 10 guests and a Chefs table - perfect for corporate events or special occasions. As the name would suggest, the decor will be traditional and quintessentially British - with a modern twist.

The menu, which has been created in partnership with Anthony Flinn and Jonathan Elvin, will centre around prime cuts of beef aged for 28 days and seared over coal in the Jospur oven, giving the meat a unique and unforgettable flavour.

The crowning jewel of our steak menu is without doubt our prime cuts of Wagyu beef. Originating from Japan, Wagyu beef is widely-regarded as the finest meat in the world, due to the intense marbling that helps give the meat its rich flavour and melt-in-the-mouth texture that other cuts simply cannot compete with. In a nut shell, our Wagyu beef is in a league of its own.

Diners can preview this alongside all other cuts displayed in our chilled meat cabinet on the ground floor.

Whilst premium beef is at the very heart of what we do, our menu is well balanced with a diverse range of lighter options on offer such as gin cured salmon, duck egg and truffle soldiers and a chargrilled Caesar salad.

Our Yorkshire born head chef, Jonathan Elvin, has trained with the likes of Gordon Ramsey at Claridges and Mark Fosh in Palma de Mallorca, making him the ideal candidate to blend the best of international cuisine with a distinctly local flair.

The difference between Stockdales of Yorkshire and other steak restaurants in Leeds such as Gauchos and Blackhouse Grill will be the quality of the meat on offer at a price that will ensure you leave with a smile.

Manager, Rodney Prosper commented
“We are very excited to be opening Stockdales of Yorkshire in Leeds next week. We’re proud to bring you a menu that is traditionally British with a twist and are certain the people of Leeds will love the friendly, dining experience we will be offering at Stockdales of Yorkshire.”
